Amber Valletta Biography

Valletta was born in Phoenix, Arizona. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. She attended Booker T. Washington High School. She got her start in the fashion industry when her mother enrolled her in modeling school at the age of fifteen at the Linda Layman Agency. Initially, she did runway work at a local mall on Saturdays. However, her big break came after she cut short her hair and went to Europe.

A local agency sent the now 5'9" brunette to Milan where her first shoot was posing for Italian Vogue. Soon after that, Amber got her first big break; the cover shoot for French Elle magazine by Hans Feurer. Not too long after that, Amber, like most models began residing in Paris. Amber immediately became a modeling sensation, having picked up where fellow supermodels Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer had left off. Photographers and magazines alike couldn't get Amber's face pasted on billboards and magazine covers fast enough.

Amber has since appeared in numerous prestigious advertising campaigns such as Versace, Calvin Klein's Escape, DKNY, Prada, Valentino, Jil Sander, Gucci and Chanel. She co-hosted MTV's House of Style with best friend and fellow model Shalom Harlow and she even became the face of Elizabeth Arden.

Although she didn't end up becoming the sociologist she wanted to be, Amber does use her position as a celebrity to support various charity events. In 1995, she organized a charity called Supermodels Stepping Out Against Hunger, a fashion show that took place in her hometown to benefit the Tulsa Community Food Bank.

Valletta has gone on to act in several films, been on the cover of magazines and in advertisements for Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein and Versace and hosted MTV's House of Style with friend and fellow supermodel Shalom Harlow. Valletta was scheduled to appear on Punk'd on Season 6 Episode 3, along with David Boreanaz and Kristin Cavallari, but Kutcher had to move the prank played on Valletta to an episode later to make room for the prank played on Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens, which is based on his suspension on November 19, 2005, while playing for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Amber Laura Heard born on April 22, 1986 is an American actress. Heard's first starring role came in 2007 on the CW television show, Hidden Palms and her breakthrough came in 2008 with roles in Never Back Down, Pineapple Express and as the lead and title character in All The Boys Love Mandy Lane, which debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2006. In 2009 Heard starred in The Stepfather and also had a small role in the horror-comedy Zombieland. She has also starred in The Joneses (2010), and has upcoming roles in And Soon the Darkness, John Carpenter's The Ward, alongside Nicolas Cage in Drive Angry and alongside Johnny Depp in The Rum Diary. Once in Los Angeles, Heard made appearances in various TV shows and a music video, Kenny Chesney's "There Goes My Life". She was cast as Liz in the pilot episode of The WB's Jack & Bobby (2004), as Riley in an episode of The Mountain (2004) and she had a brief cameo as a salesgirl in The O.C. (2005). Her first movie role was Maria in Friday Night Lights (2004). She next starred as Shay in Side FX (2005), an independent horror film, and had supporting roles in Drop Dead Sexy (2005), Price to Pay (2006) and You Are Here (2006). Heard had more prominent parts in Niki Caro's North Country (2005) as young Josey and as Alma in Nick Cassavetes' Alpha Dog (2006). In 2006 she starred in an episode of Criminal Minds as Lila Archer, a young Hollywood actress who has a crush on Spencer Reid. Heard was next cast in the CW Network's Hidden Palms. On the show she portrayed Greta Matthews, who suffered the losses of both her mother and boyfriend, Eddie, and befriends Johnny, the anti-hero of the show. In order to get the part, Heard was asked to lose weight. It took her four months, daily workouts and a ban on carbohydrates to lose 25 pounds. Hidden Palms premiered in the US on May 30, 2007. Ultimately, The CW wrapped the summer series early; instead of the initial 12 episode arc, only eight were aired. The show ended on July 4, two weeks prior than originally planned. She was next cast in the title role in All the Boys Love Mandy Lane. The horror film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in September 2006, immediately generating buzz and landing a deal with Harvey Weinstein. However, nearly a year after its Toronto debut, the movie had not reached theaters. In July 2007, Mandy Lane found a new distribution home and the film finally was released in 2008 with a February UK release and DVD release in June.
In 2007, Heard also appeared in the short movie Day 73 with Sarah and Jess Manafort's indie drama Remember the Daze (aka The Beautiful Ordinary), which premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival in June and opened in limited release in April 2008. She then appeared in the Judd Apatow-produced, Rogen and Goldberg-written comedy Pineapple Express and the martial arts drama Never Back Down, released in 2008, back-to-back. The latter opened in March and Heard played the role of the free-spirited Baja Miller who falls for Sean Faris' Jake Tyler.

Silverstone was born in San Francisco, California. Her career began at the age of six when a series of swimsuit snapshots taken by her real estate investor father turned into modeling gigs, then TV commercials, then guest spots on sitcoms and, finally, a little movie called The Crush where she played a Lolita who makes life a living hell for the object of her affection. That movie didn't do well at the box office, but it did generate a buzz for Silverstone, as did the Aerosmith videos she performed in with her friend (and daughter of Aerosmith's Steve Tyler) Liv Tyler. But it was her great comedic performance in Clueless that really made Silverstone into a star and got her a $10 million deal with Columbia Pictures to produce her own films. "Unfortunately," she says, "being a female in this business, to do the things you want, you have to create for yourself. I'm not going to stand around being one of the people that goes, 'Poor women in Hollywood' because that's boring and totally useless."
Silverstone, a long-time vegan and a spokesperson for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, made her Broadway debut in 2002 playing the daughter of Kathleen Turner's character, Mrs. Robinson, in the stage version of The Graduate. Returning to the big screen, she played a pesky reporter in Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004), and starred as a lawyer in her own sitcom for NBC-TV, entitled Miss Match for the 2003/2004 TV season. When it didn't last the season, she concentrated on film with roles in Beauty Shop and Silence Becomes You (both 2005).
She married her boyfriend of eight years, musician Christopher Jarecki, on June 11, 2005 in Lake Tahoe. She gave birth to their first child, a boy named Bear Blu, on May 5, 2011.
